As a charitable company, we aim to give big to the community and charities wherever possible, as well as our selected company charities all our staff members pick and support causes that are close to them.
Tim Buckle’s chosen charity Cry (Cardiac Risk in the Young) aims to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening, research and supporting affected families, and young people that have been diagnosed.
After seeing this affect a family very close to Tim, he became passionate and involved about this charity and cause. Professor Steve Peters rescued and adopted chickens from poor conditions and has since begun selling eggs for CRY. Through Tim and Steve’s efforts in doing this have managed to raise £700. These eggs have been sold throughout 2021 and have even been voted the best eggs in Whaley Bridge.
The money raised over the year will be donated in Charlie Craig’s name and will be used to help fund 14 additional screenings for young people in the area. Big thank you to all that donated by buying eggs, and we will be back to selling in the new year for Cry donations after the Chickens have a well-deserved rest.
