Following on from Chimp management employee Adam Wright’s recent house building charitable trip to Kenya, Adam was keen to continue to support the community he had spent two weeks living, eating, sleeping and working with by taking on an amazing responsibility and a sponsorship of a child from the local community.
On hearing about Adam’s idea, Professor Steve Peters and Chimp Management decided to join Adam and sponsored a local child too.
The sponsorship will cover all the costs of the child’s primary, secondary and tertiary fees alongside uniform, school meals, equipment costs.
This Is Kelvin Wahome. He scored 355/500 (Kenya Certificate of Primary Education – 2017). His Dad, who was the breadwinner, was involved in a road accident and got head injuries that have made him remain in the bed for two years. With determination, Kelvin believed in himself and worked extra hard in primary school and attained these very impressive marks. He is aiming to go even higher to join university after regional high school. We managed to get him into Form 1 at Kianyaga Boys High school earlier this year and Chimp’s support will guarantee that he finishes his 4 years there.
