Psychological Skills Mentor
Picture of Ben Hope

Ben is a psychological skills mentor at Chimp Management with a special interest in education. He is part of a team that develops resources and materials for schools, helping with research as well as content creation. His specialist interest is in helping younger students and their teachers to get the best out of themselves by understanding the basics of the neuroscience of the mind.

At university, Ben did extensive research into how primary-aged children learn and how teachers and facilitators can best assist young people in developing their education and themselves. This is an ethos he carries over into his role as a Chimp Management mentor. Ben has a Bachelor of Science degree in outdoor studies and is currently studying a BSc in Psychology at the University of Derby.

Before joining Chimp Management, Ben worked as an educator in the Peak District National Park. This included work within schools in a wide variety of roles, including facilitating introductory days for year 6’s going into secondary school and presenting educational talks on geology and cave systems, as well as outdoor activity safety and instruction.
