Embracing Change to Create Opportunity
Why do we find change so challenging and difficult to deal with? Why might we find it difficult to accept changes outside our control?
How can we learn to accept change ourselves and help others embrace and deal with change? What can we do to help ourselves and others look beyond the current situation to life beyond?
This session will use The Chimp Model to explore why we find change challenging. It will explore the neuroscientific processes, designed to help, that can cause stress, anxiety or resistance to change. It will use tools and techniques to help understand and stabilise our system, help to overcome resistance and accept imposed or obligatory change.
Session Structure
The session will be practical and engaging. Using The Chimp model, we will explain why we can find change so challenging and potentially stressful. We will demonstrate how to accept the reality of uncertainty and unwanted change and deal with it effectively.
