Building Successful

Relationships

24th September 2026 | The Crowne Plaza, Sheffield

£160.00 £140.00

Early Bird offer until 30th April 2026.

This conference will explore some of the recognised factors that influence how relationships develop and the principles that increase the probability of building successful and fulfilling relationships.

To help ensure everyone begins the day with a shared understanding, we will also host a short pre-conference webinar introducing the key concepts of The Chimp Model for those who may be new to it.

What to expect?

Throughout the day, Professor Steve Peters will explore the relationship we have with ourselves, what happens when we first meet someone, and the beliefs and behaviours that shape how relationships develop over time.

The aim of the conference is to provide insight and practical ideas that can help people reflect on and strengthen the relationships in both their personal and professional lives.

Conference  Workshops

Workshop 1:

Addressing the Most Important Relationship

This workshop will explore the relationship we have with ourselves.

In particular, we will look at our self-image and the beliefs we hold about ourselves, and how these can influence the way we think, behave and relate to others.

Understanding this relationship can play an important role in how we approach the relationships around us.

Workshop 2:

Building the Basis of a Successful Relationship

In this workshop we will look at what happens neuro-scientifically when we meet someone.

We will explore how relationships often develop around needs or desired outcomes, and how recognising these can help us better understand why relationships form and how those needs can be fulfilled constructively or destructively.

Workshop 3:

Establishing Fulfilling Personal Relationships

This workshop will consider the difference between professional and personal relationships.

Delegates will have the opportunity to reflect on the beliefs and behaviours on which their personal relationships are built, and the factors that can influence whether those relationships develop in a constructive and fulfilling way.

Workshop 4:

Practical Takeaways

The final workshop will bring together the key insights from the day.

We will explore practical takeaways that can help people reflect on and improve the relationships in their everyday lives.

I particularly appreciate how accessible Prof Peters makes The Model – making it easy to understand. The audience exercises were great to bring things to life as well.

Thoroughly engaging presentation! Having completed Chimp Management training twice it was great to hear from the master himself! I think everyone should have the opportunity to hear Steve talk at least once in their lifetime!
