Christmas Charity Conference

with Professor Steve Peters

10th December 2026 | The Crowne Plaza, Sheffield

This festive charity conference brings together learning, reflection and giving back, with a full day of practical workshops exploring how we see ourselves, interpret our experiences, measure ourselves and others, and communicate with the people around us.

£100.00

What to Expect?

Delivered entirely by Professor Steve Peters, this one-day conference offers the opportunity to learn directly from him throughout the day.

Using themes inspired by the Christmas season, the workshops will explore how the mind shapes self-image, influences how we interpret experiences, and affects our judgement, behaviour and communication.

Whether you are interested in personal development, supporting others, improving relationships or applying The Chimp Model in everyday life, the day will offer practical ideas you can take away and use.

It is suitable for individuals, teams, leaders, professionals and anyone familiar with — or interested in — The Chimp Model.

Workshop 1

Snowflake

or Champion?

How have you formed your self-image? This workshop will look at how we form our self-image and consider how we can modify or develop a true and constructive self-image.

The effects of self-image on our behaviours and relationships will be explored, and we will consider how this heavily influences our outcomes in life.

Workshop 3

Compiling the good

list and the naughty list

Which list would you place yourself and others on? Reference points to measure against are usually created unconsciously. This workshop will explore how we are making our decisions and where in life we place our reference points.

As always, we will consider how neuroscience can be applied to help us to create unbiassed reference points to measure against.

Workshop 2

‘Sawdust and Glitter’

or ‘Lights in the Darkness’

The festive season is experienced and interpreted very differently by each of us. We always have a choice on how we interpret our experiences.

The second session will look at ways in which we can learn to focus on relevant aspects of every life experience and interpret them in a helpful way.

Workshop 4

How important is the

wrapping paper you choose?

Presents are presents, no matter how we wrap them up. However, the wrapping paper can make a big difference if the recipient feels that some thought went into this.

No matter what we feel or think, unless our communication with others is effective, we can lose so much in our personal and professional lives. It’s all in the delivery!
