From Andy…
Taking the job with Chimp Management and Professor Peters was a bit of a leap of faith at the time. I’d been living in the US for 12 years — first studying for my degree and then working as a football coach at several large academic institutions, including The University of Oklahoma.
After reading The Chimp Paradox, I came across a role managing all aspects of Steve’s work. The job excited me — it felt like a great fit for my skillset, and something about it just made sense. Along with my wife and children, we packed our bags and moved to Sheffield.
I’ve really enjoyed working in a small company and getting involved in lots of different areas. I particularly enjoy speaking with people and helping them figure out how we can support them or their team. Some of the standout projects for me have been self-publishing A Path Through the Jungle, supporting Steve’s media work, and helping shape the redesign of our website. Day-to-day, I stay involved across the business — from sales and marketing to finances and publishing — either leading the work or offering guidance and support to the team.
It’s incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact The Chimp Model and our team have on people, and I’m proud to be a part of that.
