Reflections from Epson Europe:

 

The support from Chimp Management has been excellent. They took the time to really understand our business challenges, as well as the concerns and feedback coming from our employees. The Challenge

Epson EU chose to work with Chimp Management during a period of business transformation because we were looking for a people-focused approach to change. A key goal was to support employees through the impact of the transition. The Chimp Model  stood out as it provided a clear, practical way to understand behaviours and reactions to change, helping organisations equip their teams with the tools and language to navigate the process more confidently and effectively.

The Approach

Epson EU  partnered with Chimp Management to deliver a series of live webinars as part of a month-long internal learning initiative.

Jess Wall, one of the Psychological Skills Mentors, led four sessions covering

  • An Introduction to the Chimp Management Model 
  • The Chimp Management – Understanding & Embracing Change workshop
  • The Chimp Management – Understanding & Interacting with Others Effectively workshop
  • The Chimp Management – Creating Stability & Resilience workshop

The response exceeded expectations, with over 1,000 employees attending across the sessions — company’s highest engagement for any learning initiative to date.

Feedback was extremely positive, particularly highlighting Jess’s engaging delivery and the practical, relatable nature of The Chimp Model.

 

 

Jess was very engaging and knowledgeable. She was able to react and think on her feet. It was good that interaction with the audience was encouraged as this gave examples to others and also helped to share other perspectives on the same thing. I guess that’s as high an endorsement as there can be!

The Chimp analogy is brilliant, knowing what the chimp, computer and human is helped me to understand myself and others – thank you Jess and the team!

The Impact

Feedback following the sessions was extremely positive, and leadership continued to hear employees reference the impact of the workshops in wider company webinars and learning initiatives.

Given the strong response, Epson EU built on this by inviting Professor Steve Peters to deliver a keynote at their annual kick-off event, which was also very well received.
