The Bulindi project is a charity based in Western Africa focused on regenerating and conserving forests in the region to prevent further damage to the regions Chimpanzee population. In 2017 Chimp Management admin staff Jess, Catherine and Angel visited the Bullindi project to learn more about what they do and offer some voluntary support.

Before the visit, Chimp Management had learnt of the troubles women were facing in regions like Bulindi without access to sanitary towels, so the team decided to bring over biodegradable sanitary towels. This was greatly appreciated by the local communities but was a short term solution to the problem and it became clear from similar projects that offering access to reusable sanitary towels could provide more sustainable support to the local communities and so Chimp Management became sponsors to the sanitary towel project with an annual donation of £300.
